Esure's philosophy is that customers should be able to really cash in on their good no claims record. Esure will take into account up to 10 years no claims discount which is twice the industry standard.

  This is a summary of the cover if you buy an esure home policy. For full details of the cover, please read the full policy wording.

  • up to 45% No Claim Discount(NCD) on contents
  • alternative accommodation if your house cannot be lived in
  • optional accidental damage cover
  • costs involved in transferring from your present mortgage provider up to £25)
  • new for old cover with an amount deducted for wear and tear of clothing, linen and pedal cycles
  • cover for freezer contents up to £500 if you take out accidental damage under contents
  • 15% seasonal increase of your contents sum insured between 1st December and 15 January
  • 10% increase of your contents sums insured for wedding gifts (30 days prior to the wedding and 30 days after)
  • Replacement external door locks if your keys are stolen up to £500
  • cover for your title deeds up to £250
  • contents in your garden up to £1000
  • flexible cover to meet your needs to ensure that you only pay for cover that you actually require
  • up to 60 days worldwide cover for personal possessions and other specified items
  • cover for pedal cycles up to £500 unless specified. Cover varies with level selected
  • personal money and credit card cover up to £500

As with all insurance policies, there are a number of restrictions and exclusions that apply to various parts of the cover. The significant or unusual restrictions are shown below but you should read the full policy to understand all the restrictions that apply.

Loss or damage arising from or consisting of:

  • wear and tear or loss of value over time
  • faulty workmanship, design or materials
  • any gradually operating cause
  • any item owned or used totally or partly for business purposes or connected with any employment
  • loss or damage caused by insects, birds or domestic pets.

You must tell us as soon as possible about any change in the information you give us after you have bought an esure policy. We may charge an administration fee for any changes you make to your policy details during the period of cover. Please check the current scale of fees. If you do not tell us about any relevant changes we may reject or reduce any claim you make or you may be treated as being uninsured.
