    Privilege home insurance and home contents insurance

    Privilege offer Buildings, Contents, Personal Possessions, Pedal Cycle and Family Legal Protection cover within their home insurance policies. Privilege also offer the option to include extended Accidental Damage cover to the Building and the Contents sections of the policy.

    The Personal Possessions section covers items that are designed to be either worn or carried away from the home and is available as an addition to the Contents section.

    Pedal cycle cover can be purchased alongside your Contents policy and will cover your bicycle and its accessories while away from the home

    Privilege have recently improved their Family Legal Protection (FLP) cover, which now provides up to £100,000 legal assistance you if an incident should arise. FLP cover allows you to pursue claims for death or personal injury, as well as any disputes arising from contracts for goods and services, selling of goods, the rightful occupation or ownership of your home and contracts of employment.

    Additionally, they have now added cover for tax protection, inheritance disputes, legal defence as an employee and motoring prosecution. Privilege also offer additional contract dispute cover to protect your interests against any issues that may arise when buying or selling your home. This protection further guards against any losses you may incur as a result of attending jury service.

    Finally, the territorial limits for personal injury and contract dispute cases have been extended.

    PC Cover

    Privilege Contents policy automatically provides cover for home computers, including accidental damage protection. If you have a portable/laptop computer and require protection for outside of the home, you will need to take out optional Personal Possessions cover. If the replacement value exceeds £1500, Privilege will only be able to offer this cover over the telephone, call them for a quote on 0845 246 0249, Lines are open 8am-8pm Monday-Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday.

    Valuable items such as furniture and stereo equipment

    You only need to specify items that are worth more than £1,500 and fall under our definition of a ‘Valuable’. Privilege define Valuables as jewellery, watches, furs, items or sets or collections of gold, silver or other precious metals, works of art, sets of stamps or coins or medals all belonging to you or any member of your family.
